Rosalie Stithem, age, 92, of Salina, formerly of Plainville, passed away Tuesday, April 13, at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina.

She was born on July 14, 1917 in Zurich, Kansas to William H. and Rosa May (Mead) Smee.  She married Clifford A. Stithem on October 22, 1936 in Stockton., Kansas.  She was a homemaker and school lunch program cook in Zurich.

Survivors include two sons, Gene and wife Rejeana Stithem of Salina, Jack and wife Clara Stithem of Salina; daughter, Reta and husband Charlie Cain of Salina; 13 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 8 step great grand children and  3 great-great grandchildren; Daughter-in-Laws Alice Stithem of Hill City, Edna Mae Stithem of Stockton; and Sister-in-Law, Bessie Mead of Salina.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford; two sons Ron and Jerry Stithem; parents William and Rosa Stithem; six sisters, Fern, Irene, Eula, Mary, Dorothy and Margie; two brothers Leslie and Royal Ezra.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 17, 2010 at the Plainville Church of the Nazarene in Plainville, with the Reverend Daryl Sherraden officiating. Burial will be in the Zurich Cemetery, Zurich.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the chapel.  Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. – service time Saturday at the church.
