Long time Plainville resident Marjorie Bailey, age 94 passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville.
She was born June 20, 1915 in Ness City, the daughter of Roy and Anna (Jensen) Baer. She graduated from Ness City High School and graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in 1937. Marjorie taught kindergarten in Plainville for over 30 years.
On September 15, 1938 she married Bernice C. “Fat” Bailey of Plainville. He passed away March 8, 1969. Marjorie became a member of the Plainville United Church in 1950.
Survivors include sons Jeffrey and wife Jacky of Casper, Wyoming, Craig and wife Carol of Fort Worth, Texas; Granddaughter Tiffany and husband Bart Epperson of Dallas, Texas; great grandchildren Matthew Bailey Epperson and Maddox Epperson of Dallas, Texas; niece Stephanie Nickapor of Ness City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, brother and sisters.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wendesday, April 28, 2010 at the Plainville United Methodist Church in Plainville with Reverend Erci Rook officiating. The family did not want any visitation at the church so visitation will be from 1:00 – service time Wednesday at the United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rooks County Health Center or the Plainville Memorial Public Library and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S.
