There are several types of carbon steel burial vaults. The durability of the vault is determinded by the gauge of the steel used to manufacture the vault and whether or not the steel is galvanized. Galvanized steel is more durable than non-galvanized steel. When you are discussing gauges, the smaller number the thicker the steel; so a 7 gauge vault is thicker and more durable than a 12 gauge vault. We offer several vaults in each category.
